Emart24, 'Hangul Day Celebration' Mask Strap Giveaway
Mobile App Members Limited to the First 6,000 Users
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Convenience store Emart24 announced on the 6th that it will give away specially made mask straps to 6,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis to celebrate the 574th Hangeul Day.
Emart24 decided to produce mask straps after considering how to convey the meaning of Hangeul Day to customers during the COVID-19 era, as the use of mask straps has recently increased. The mask strap design features an emoticon shaped like the Korean consonant 'Ieung' from the pure Korean word ‘Ariari (Fighting)’ to symbolize overcoming COVID-19 together.
Anyone who is a member of the Emart24 mobile app can apply without any conditions. From midnight on the 8th of this month, customers can access the Emart24 mobile app, press the gift button, and select a store. The mask straps can be picked up at the designated store from the 22nd to the 30th of this month.
Yoo Chang-sik, head of Emart24’s Sales Marketing Team, said, “The mask strap will be a good product that captures both the meaning and practicality of Hangeul Day,” adding, “We hope customers will reflect on the meaning of Hangeul Day and gain strength through the mask strap amid the COVID-19 situation.”
