Art Critic Jin-sook Lee's Lecture: "Questions That Changed the Era, Art Embracing the Times"
Gwanak-gu, Online Book Concert Held on the 7th from 2 to 4 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold a real-time non-face-to-face online book concert through its YouTube channel (Live Gwanak) from 2 PM to 4 PM on the 7th.
This event was prepared to provide residents, exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, with expanded opportunities to enjoy culture online and to create a healing time through mutual communication via real-time chat.
The program, titled "Questions that Changed the Era, Art Embracing the Era," features a lecture by Lee Jin-sook, a bestselling author in the field of art who wrote "Art that Stole the Era" and "Moments of Humanity," along with a performance by an emotional jazz band.
The lecture includes content that allows participants to experience the growth of civil society and the power of culture during crises through Western art history (the Dutch Golden Age of the 17th century), and to reflect on the value and meaning of 21st-century (the era of empathetic humans) culture and arts.
This event was prepared as part of a public-private cooperation project, reflecting recommendations for authors and requests regarding the concert content from members of Gwanak-gu reading clubs.
Residents wishing to participate can pre-register on the Gwanak-gu Integrated Library website, and can also join on the day of the event via YouTube’s "Live Gwanak."
