About 100 students from Gyeongnam Technical High School, Busan Marketing High School, Busan Information High School, and Busanjin Girls' Commercial High School in Busanjin-gu participated in the special lecture, communicating interactively through real-time online lectures at each school.
The lecture covered topics such as public enterprise recruitment trends and procedures, NCS basic vocational skills, customized public enterprise recruitment analysis by major, and national employment policy guidance. A mock interview was conducted through open chat to increase the satisfaction of participating students.
The special lecture was conducted on topics commonly requested by each school through a preliminary demand survey of specialized high schools and a job governance council meeting established under the mutual agreement for youth jobs between Busanjin-gu, Dong-Eui University, and local universities and specialized high schools signed last year.
Along with the special lecture, from October, Dong-Eui University Career Center and Busanjin-gu Job Center will provide ongoing customized employment consulting, including career and employment consulting for first- and second-year students preparing for employment and application document and interview consulting for third-year employment class students at the respective high schools.
Lee Kwang-ui, director of Dong-Eui University Career Center, said, “Dong-Eui University Career Center is fulfilling the university’s social responsibility by playing a role in the regional job governance.”
The director added, “We will continue to discover various employment programs for youth’s future along with online employment special lectures.”
Dong-Eui University receives 600 million KRW annually from the government and Busan City to support students’ career and employment/startup activities, and eight professional consultants at the university career center provide customized career and employment counseling.
