An Octogenarian Man Arrested for Fatally Beating His Wife in Naju, Jeonnam
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Naju Police Station in Jeonnam announced on the 5th that they arrested an octogenarian man, Mr. A, on charges of murder for causing the death of his wife during a domestic dispute.
Mr. A is accused of assaulting his wife, a woman in her 70s, Ms. B, at their home in Naju, Jeonnam, on the afternoon of the 4th, resulting in her death.
The couple's son discovered both parents collapsed at their home around 7 a.m. that day and reported it to the police.
The son reportedly went to the house at dawn after receiving a call from his mother the previous night asking for help, saying, "Father is hitting me."
After the incident, Mr. A ingested poison and is currently receiving hospital treatment, but his life is not in danger.
