Gimhae City Selects Jeon Hyo-seok as Outstanding Volunteer King

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 5th that volunteer Jeon Hyo-seok (83 years old), who performed the most volunteer activities in August, was selected as the Outstanding Volunteer King.
Since 2008, Jeon has been affiliated with the Silver Nanumi Volunteer Group, Gimhae Foreign Language Volunteer Group, and Gimhae Cultural Center for over 12 years, engaging in various volunteer activities utilizing foreign languages.
He was recognized for significantly contributing to the positive image of Gimhae City by sharing his talents through foreign language education for low-income children and the elderly, Korean language and computer education for foreign workers, guidance on immigration procedures for foreigners entering and leaving the country, and assistance with civil document preparation.
Jeon's accumulated volunteer hours amount to a total of 1,709 sessions and 7,045 hours. He has been actively and continuously volunteering in his senior years, receiving awards such as the Gyeongsangnam-do Volunteer King in 2018 and the Korea Sharing National Award in 2019.
