Gangbuk-gu Launches Online 'Finding Hidden Gangbuk' Project

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) is launching the ‘Hidden Gangbuk Discovery’ project ahead of the opening of the lifelong learning center, Everyone's School Gangbuk Learning Center, and is recruiting participants.
‘Hidden Gangbuk Discovery’ is the first project marking the start of Everyone's School Gangbuk Learning Center. Participants will learn how to use SNS, video shooting, and editing through online lectures, and create videos by discovering the beauty of Gangbuk-gu in everyday life.
The creations will be shared with all participants through a presentation and posted on Gangbuk-gu’s YouTube channel to showcase the charm of various places in Gangbuk-gu to residents.
The lectures will be led by Park Cheol-woo, Korea’s first ‘Smart Producer.’ Trainees will learn how to produce video content and have time to reflect on the meaning and role of content in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as well as communication methods using content.
The district is recruiting 15 teams on a first-come, first-served basis, each consisting of either one person or two people from the same household.
Applications start on the 5th and can be submitted through the Gangbuk-gu Neulbaeumteo website.
The district expects ‘Hidden Gangbuk Discovery’ to expand residents’ online living areas and provide an opportunity for participants to share knowledge and experiences.
Gangbuk-gu Mayor Park Kyum-soo said, “I hope this program will establish a culture where residents can pursue learning in their daily lives,” and added, “We will continue to discover various projects to create a resident-led lifelong learning environment.”
