Gangnam-gu Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun: "COVID-19 Cases Decreasing but Silent Transmission Continues"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 4th, one new COVID-19 case was confirmed in Gangnam-gu, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 275.
A resident of Nonhyeon-dong, who had been in self-quarantine after contact with a previously confirmed Gangnam-gu resident, tested positive at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center just before the end of the quarantine period.
Jung Soon-gyun, the district mayor, said, "Those in self-quarantine should never be complacent just because they have no symptoms during isolation. When the self-quarantine period ends, please be sure to visit the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center for a retest."

The health authorities added that although the recent COVID-19 cases are on a declining trend, silent transmission continues, and they warned that there is a high possibility of cluster infections occurring mainly in medical institutions and welfare facilities.
