Gangnam-gu Provides 'DIY Hand Mitt Kit' to 500 Pregnant Women Staying Home
Event Held for the 15th Pregnant Women’s Day... 50 People Selected via SNS Upload to Receive Baenet Jeogori and Hats
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is conducting an event providing a ‘DIY Hand Warmer Kit’ to 500 pregnant women in the area starting from the 28th of last month in celebration of the 15th Pregnant Women’s Day.
This event aims to relieve stress for pregnant women staying at home due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to offer time and memories for bonding between the fetus and parents. Applications including name, contact information, and address can be sent via email (cherishjsy@gangnam.go.kr) until the 20th, and the kit will be provided to the first 500 applicants.
Additionally, if participants upload photos of the hand warmers they made, fetal ultrasound images, and letters to their unborn child on personal SNS such as blogs or Instagram, 50 people will be selected by lottery to receive newborn items including baenet jeogori (traditional baby jacket) and hats.
For more details, please refer to the Gangnam-gu Office website or contact the Maternal Health Team of the Health Management Division at Gangnam-gu Public Health Center.
