[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] One medical staff member at Yongin Severance Hospital in Gyeonggi-do has been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), leading to the temporary suspension of the hospital's operating room and emergency room operations.
Yongin City announced on the 30th that Mr. A, a surgeon in his 30s at Yongin Severance Hospital, experienced muscle pain and sore throat symptoms on the 28th, underwent a COVID-19 test at the hospital's screening clinic, and was confirmed positive around 11:30 PM on the 29th.
The source of Mr. A's infection has not yet been identified.
