Kim Jong-seok, Director of the Korea Meteorological Administration, Attends the 72nd WMO Executive Council Virtual Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Kim Jong-seok, the Commissioner of the Korea Meteorological Administration, attended the 72nd World Meteorological Organization Executive Council meeting via online video conference on the 28th. Commissioner Kim is also an executive member of the World Meteorological Organization.
The meeting, held until the 2nd of next month, was attended by Petteri Taalas, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization, Gerhard Adrian, Chair and Vice-Chair of the World Meteorological Organization, and heads of meteorological agencies from 37 countries. The meeting focused on follow-up work related to the ongoing organizational restructuring of the World Meteorological Organization and preparations for the upcoming special session of the World Meteorological Organization scheduled for next year.
