Pohang City Intensifies Crackdown on Door-to-Door Sales Promotion Centers ... Police Conduct Unannounced Inspections
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk, has launched a joint inspection and crackdown on unregistered companies conducting illegal door-to-door sales and the operation of direct sales promotion centers by door-to-door sales companies to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
This crackdown is a measure following the enforcement of the administrative order prohibiting gatherings related to door-to-door sales, etc., issued on the 24th. Pohang City will continue unannounced inspections until October 11 through joint operations with the southern and northern police stations.
The city plans to file charges against those who violate the administrative order by operating direct sales promotion centers or holding group promotions, sales, or training, and will claim compensation for all quarantine costs related to testing, investigation, and treatment arising from violations.
