Name Suggestions for National Park Marine Exploration Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] The Dadohaehaesang National Park Western Office of the Korea National Park Service (Director Lee Cheon-gyu) announced that it will hold a nationwide naming contest for the National Park Marine Exploration Program before implementing the program.
The National Park Marine Exploration Program is a planned program that offers new attractions to the public and aims to revitalize the local economy by exploring island areas by boat at sea for the first time in a national park. After a pilot project this year, it is scheduled to be fully launched in 2021.
Applications for the naming contest for the marine exploration program will be accepted starting September 28, and the final selection will be made on October 16 after screening.
Anyone nationwide can participate by submitting a name and background that reflect the characteristics of the marine exploration program on the application form, either by mail (visit) or email. For more details, please refer to the National Park website (www.knps.or.kr).
