Jeju Island Implements Administrative Measure Requiring Visitors to Wear Masks
[Asia Economy Reporter Sung Kiho] Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, special administrative measures for COVID-19 prevention have been implemented in Jeju.
According to Jeju Province, from the 26th until the end of the Chuseok holiday on the 4th of next month, all visitors arriving in Jeju via Jeju International Airport and Jeju Port must wear masks during their stay.
Additionally, upon arrival at Jeju Airport, visitors must undergo a fever screening, and if their temperature exceeds 37.5 degrees Celsius, they will be classified as having a fever symptom and must undergo a mandatory COVID-19 diagnostic test. Those with fever symptoms who have taken the COVID-19 test are required to be quarantined until the test results are confirmed.
On this day, approximately 27,000 tourists and returning visitors arrived in Jeju via flights landing at Jeju International Airport, and these individuals are subject to the special administrative measures.
