Suncheon-si, Traffic Guidance and Information Around Traditional Markets for Chuseok
Convenient and Safe Use of Traditional Markets for a Healthy and Happy Chuseok Celebration
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) will provide traffic convenience to users of Yeokjeon Market and Araetjang on the 27th in celebration of the Chuseok holiday by conducting joint traffic guidance with Suncheon Police Station, the Model Drivers Association, and bus transportation workers.
Suncheon City, facing a prolonged COVID-19 situation that has severely impacted traditional market merchants, expects an increase in traditional market users during Chuseok, which may cause traffic congestion on surrounding roads. Therefore, traffic guidance and directions will be provided to ensure convenient and safe market use.
The model drivers will guide moving vehicles, bus transportation workers will assist bus passengers and loading/unloading of goods, and illegal parking vehicles will be guided mainly for education and vehicle flow. However, illegal parking and traffic obstruction acts such as double parking, bus stops, crosswalks, and acts threatening pedestrian safety will be jointly cracked down on with the police station.
Additionally, during the Chuseok holiday period, guidance will be provided targeting Suncheon Station, the bus terminal, and major tourist attractions to ensure smooth traffic flow.
