On the 25th, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced that a unveiling ceremony was held in an open space in front of the Korean Medicine Museum in Donguibogam Village to commemorate the completion of the reproduction and restoration of the upper part of the Sancheong Beomhak-ri Three-story Stone Pagoda.
The county promoted the stone pagoda reproduction and restoration project to widely publicize the excellence of Sancheong's culture and to enhance the pride of its residents.
Additionally, the project used Seomjangam from the Beomhak-ri area, identical to that used for the national treasure, and conducted 3D scanning to replicate the stone pagoda.
In particular, while referring to existing Unified Silla period stone pagodas and consulting with related experts, the lost upper part was restored.
As a result, the stone pagoda erected in Donguibogam Village has a replicated section of 4.35m, a restored section of 2.53m, and a total height of 6.88m.
