Guri-si to Distribute Child Allowance of 200,000 Won Until the 28th
[Asia Economy (Guri) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Guri City in Gyeonggi Province has decided to pay all 1.9 billion KRW of child allowances by the 28th, before the start of the Chuseok holiday.
Guri City announced on the 25th that it plans to deposit 200,000 KRW per child into the child allowance payment accounts by the 28th of this month, without a separate application process, targeting 9,420 children born between January 2014 and September 2020, who are preschool-aged as of this month.
For elementary school-aged children (grades 1 to 6), payments will be made through each individual school's 'child's school banking account' without a separate application. However, children outside of school (born between January 2008 and December 2013) will receive payments after applying within a certain period through the local education support office of their residence area.
