Public Procurement Service Designates and Supports Promising Companies Entering Overseas Procurement Markets
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Public Procurement Service announced on the 25th that it has designated 62 companies as new promising companies for overseas procurement market entry (Government Performance ASSured·G-PASS) in the third quarter of this year.
G-PASS is a system selected by the Public Procurement Service to support procurement companies with excellent quality and technology of procurement goods in entering overseas procurement markets.
The Public Procurement Service first designated 95 companies as G-PASS companies in 2013 and has designated new G-PASS companies four times a year (quarterly). As of this month (third quarter of this year), a total of 790 companies have been designated as G-PASS companies.
The 62 newly designated companies include producers of innovative and eco-friendly excellent products such as smart parking systems incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) technology, intelligent security systems, and artificial intelligence (AI) fever measurement devices.
The Public Procurement Service provides G-PASS companies with support such as participation in overseas exhibitions and export consultation meetings, preparation of bid proposals, and customized overseas expansion support projects for companies.

Jung Moo-kyung, Administrator of the Public Procurement Service, said, “As COVID-19 resurges, there are concerns that the domestic economic recovery may slow down. The Public Procurement Service will actively utilize the excellence of K-quarantine, which was acquired during the COVID-19 prevention process, and actively work to expand our companies’ entry into overseas procurement markets.”
