[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The online video streaming service Watcha will be the first domestic OTT platform to sell subscription passes on TV home shopping.
Watcha announced that starting at 6:40 PM on the 26th, it will begin broadcasting the sale of the 'Watcha Premium 12-Month Subscription Pass' on GS Shop. The Watcha Premium pass allows simultaneous streaming on up to four devices and provides access to ultra-high-definition content for one year. Offered at a 36% discount from the regular price (99,000 KRW), users can enjoy unlimited viewing of 80,000 titles including movies, dramas, entertainment shows, and animations for 8,250 KRW per month.
During the broadcast, prizes will be given through a lottery, and even after the broadcast ends, the subscription pass can be purchased at a 30% discounted price until October 4th.
