Hong Jun-pyo "Moon, Is He Really the President of the Republic of Korea... Such an Absurd President"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Hong Joon-pyo, former leader of the Liberty Korea Party, criticized President Moon Jae-in for not attending the emergency meeting chaired by the Blue House National Security Office Chief regarding the Yeonpyeong Island shelling incident, questioning, "Is he really the President of the Republic of Korea?"
On the 25th, former leader Hong said on Facebook, "Regarding the horrific incident where my country's citizens were shot and their bodies burned, the President was absent from the emergency meeting chaired by the Blue House National Security Office Chief at 1 a.m. on September 23 to discuss urgent countermeasures and was sleeping at the official residence," expressing his criticism.
He added, "Those who impeached former President Park Geun-hye over the seven-hour Sewol ferry incident, what kind of sophistry will they use to justify President Moon Jae-in's dereliction of duty as president this time?" He also said, "President Lee Myung-bak suspended tours to Mount Kumgang during the Park Wang-ja murder case and imposed the May 24th sanctions against North Korea after the Cheonan naval ship soldiers were killed."
