On the 24th, former lawmaker Yoo stated on Facebook, "The incident in which our missing government official was shot and his body burned by North Korean soldiers showed through actions how atrocious the North Korean regime is."
He added, "The fact that our military only watched while our citizen was shot and his body desecrated makes us question the very reason for the military's existence. A military that cannot protect the lives of its people has no reason to exist," adding, "All commanders involved must be strictly punished as an example."
Former lawmaker Yoo continued, "The reason our military has come to this is that the President, as the Commander-in-Chief, has lost the qualifications to command the military."

Even though North Korea trampled on the lives of our citizens, President Moon's mind is filled only with words like declaration of the end of the war and peace."
He continued, "The fact that the Blue House issued the President's expression of regret and the phrase 'unacceptable' 43 hours after obtaining intelligence about this incident is nothing more than a delayed lip service made after watching public opinion."
