Geochang-gun, 2021 Current Projects... Flexibility through Securing Special Balanced Budget
A Total Project Cost of 90.9 Billion Won Invested in 20 Projects Including Family Centers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, has secured 19.8 billion KRW in national funds for 20 projects from the 2021 Balanced Development Special Account budget to promote pending projects, which is expected to accelerate project implementation next year.
The major projects supported by the Balanced Development Special Account budget include ▲Future Agriculture Complex Education Center 8.3 billion KRW ▲Family Center 7.6 billion KRW ▲Construction of the 2nd Sports Park 4 billion KRW ▲Geochang-eup Downtown Hub Public Parking Lot Construction Project 6 billion KRW ▲Gajo Anti-aging Healing Land Infrastructure Construction Project 4.2 billion KRW ▲Baekdudaegan Geochang Natural Recreation Forest Construction Project 1 billion KRW ▲Namha-myeon Basic Living Hub Development Project 4 billion KRW, among others.
Accordingly, the county has enabled the expansion of infrastructure and improvement of living convenience for residents by receiving national funds for various projects in agriculture, sports, and welfare sectors.
In particular, the Family Center is a facility applied for through a public contest to perform the family service hub function in line with the government's expansion of life SOC complex facilities. It will integrate national and public daycare centers, community care centers, cooperative childcare sharing spaces, healthy family services, and multicultural family support centers to provide comprehensive family-related services.
