View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] GS Construction, which received the Seoul Mayor’s Commendation in the Win-Win Cooperation and Mutual Growth category at this year’s Asia Construction Comprehensive Awards, is transforming into a company capable of long-term growth while fulfilling its social responsibilities by promoting continuous and diverse management activities divided into three sectors: environment, economy, and society.
GS Construction is establishing win-win management throughout its operations, including partner company selection, bidding, and process management, creating a transparent and fair partnership cooperation system. It is evaluated as strengthening management and financial support, enhancing construction execution capabilities, and providing support to build a practical and sustainable mutual growth system beyond simple assistance to partner companies. Win-win growth activities such as improving productivity through structural construction culture reform and enhancing trust through strengthened communication are also continuously operated.
GS Construction focuses on strengthening communication between GS Construction’s top management and executives and partner company representatives through the 'Co-prosperity Council' conducted by the group. It also operates the 'Xi CEO Forum' and the 'SUBCON BOARD.' The Xi CEO Forum, held annually since 2004, is a mutual growth activity targeting partner company representatives and GS Construction executives. The SUBCON BOARD is a practical communication platform that reflects partner companies’ difficulties and suggestions into mutual growth programs.
For partner company development, GS Construction operates educational programs such as Xi management training, site manager training, and practical worker training. In particular, to strengthen safety execution, it operates the first experiential safety innovation school in the construction industry, striving for zero accidents. Additionally, it has established a 30 billion KRW-scale win-win fund with Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, and Woori Bank to support partner companies struggling due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
