DGB Financial Donates Wristwatch-Type Location Trackers to People with Developmental Disabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DGB Financial Group announced on the 23rd that it delivered sponsorship funds for location trackers to prevent and detect early disappearances of people with developmental disabilities at the Daegu Bank headquarters in Chilseong-dong, Daegu.
DGB Financial donated 15 million KRW to the Daegu City Developmental Disabilities Support Center, funded by 1% of employees' salaries and donations from affiliates, which will be used to support 92 people with developmental disabilities with 'wristwatch-type location trackers.'
The wristwatch-type location tracker is embedded in a wristwatch worn by a person with developmental disabilities and transmits location information in real time to the guardian's smartphone. Through this technology, if the person with developmental disabilities moves beyond a designated distance or location, an automatic alert notification is sent to the guardian. It is a state-of-the-art device.
