View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] The Kwangwoon Educational Foundation announced on the 23rd that it will officially embark on nurturing AI-based convergence talents.
On the 18th of this month, Kwangwoon Educational Foundation signed a business agreement with Osan City, iMBC Campus, and the Korea Safety Management Institute to promote the goal of nurturing talents needed in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The main contents include jointly pursuing ICT convergence-related talent development projects, robot and AI education activities, and promotion projects.

In particular, Kwangwoon Educational Foundation decided to donate a total of 80 robots, including 40 robot kits capable of coding education to Osan Segyo High School, designated as a leading school for SW education (pilot operation of AI education) in the first phase, and 40 humanoid robots in the second phase. They also plan to incorporate an educational curriculum linked with Kwangwoon University's Department of Robotics into the academic program. Additionally, Kwangwoon Educational Foundation plans to explore more advanced development plans by sharing human and material infrastructure of the smart city integrated operation center based on ICT with elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as universities under the Kwangwoon Educational Foundation, in collaboration with Osan City.
