First COVID-19 Death Reported in Cheonan... 70s Critical Patient
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] A person in their 70s who tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Cheonan, Chungnam, has died. This is the first COVID-19 related death in Cheonan and the third in Chungnam.
According to Cheonan City on the 22nd, the person in their 70s (Cheonan case number 176), who was receiving treatment at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, passed away on that day.
The deceased was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit and was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on August 27.

Meanwhile, in Cheonan on the same day, two middle school students classified as contacts of confirmed cases from Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province, tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 226.
