[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 22nd, "We must never forget the tension and crisis we felt after experiencing defeat in the April 15 general election," and added, "At the very least, the party must unite and stand together until the by-elections held next year."
Chairman Kim said this during an online meeting with lawmakers in the afternoon, emphasizing, "I hope many lawmakers recognize why the Emergency Committee currently exists."
He stressed, "The massive defeat in Seoul serves as a significant warning about the future survival of our party."

Chairman Kim also said, "From various opinion polls and personal interactions with the public, I feel that the opinions of the 30s and 40s age groups have not yet returned to us," adding, "The public is watching to see whether that party will bring about real change or if it is merely putting up slogans in form only."
