KOSPI Falls 1.5% Intraday to 2350 Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The KOSPI fell more than 1% intraday, dropping to the 2350 level.
On the 22nd, the KOSPI opened at 2388.14, down 1.25 points (0.05%) from the previous trading day. The KOSPI, which started lower, steadily widened its losses throughout the session. As of 10:35 a.m., it was at 2353.73, down 35.66 points (1.49%) from the previous day.
Looking at trading trends by participant, institutions and foreign investors led the decline, selling a net 120.2 billion KRW and 81.6 billion KRW respectively. Meanwhile, individual investors bought a net 205.7 billion KRW.
Most of the top market capitalization stocks are also falling. Kia Motors, Hyundai Motor, Kakao, NAVER, Hyundai Mobis, and Celltrion are showing relatively large declines.

The KOSDAQ index is also continuing its decline for the second consecutive day. The KOSDAQ opened at 867.72, up 0.73 points (0.08%) from the previous day, but soon turned downward and widened its losses to around 2%. As of 10:35 a.m., it was at 849.19, down 17.80 points (2.05%) from the previous day.
