[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] The Yeongcheon Rest Area on the Daegu-bound Daegu-Pohang Expressway, managed by Korea Expressway Corporation, announced on the 22nd that it has installed and is operating thermal imaging cameras at the building entrance to block community transmission of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Yeongcheon Rest Area on the Daegu-bound side has established an internal manual where if a customer's temperature is automatically detected as 37 degrees Celsius or higher by the thermal imaging camera, it is rechecked with a thermometer, and then the local health center is contacted for support. In addition, disinfection activities have been significantly strengthened by frequently disinfecting key areas such as restrooms.
