[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] “I buy separate masks for children, so I really appreciate how carefully you take care of this.”
This is a comment from Ms. Kim, a parent with a child attending a daycare center in Jungnang-gu.
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has rolled up its sleeves for the safety of children.
On the 15th, the district distributed 68,000 KF94 masks for children, 5 masks per person, to a total of 251 locations including 222 daycare centers and 29 kindergartens in the area.
This mask distribution was prepared to protect the health of children who are relatively vulnerable to viruses. Since February, the district has distributed a total of 219,736 masks to daycare centers in the area over 13 rounds, and 26,100 masks to 29 kindergartens for children and staff.
In addition, the district provided quarantine supplies such as 7,300 hand sanitizers, 1,418 disinfectants, 290 hand sanitizers, and 523 non-contact thermometers to daycare centers and kindergartens, and carried out thorough quarantine activities, receiving positive responses from residents by blocking the virus.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “In a situation where the momentum of COVID-19 does not easily subside, wearing masks cannot be emphasized enough,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to ensure that local children can live safely.”
