Gwangju Bank Delivers 1,000 Support Packages for Local Medical Staff to Gwangju City Hall

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Gwangju Bank announced on the 17th that it delivered 1,000 boxes of “Support Packages” worth 50 million KRW to Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall to be given to medical staff fighting the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Having delivered 1,000 boxes of “Support Packages” to Jeonnam Provincial Office the previous day, Gwangju Bank produced an additional 1,000 boxes and delivered them to Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall as well. These will be distributed to infectious disease-dedicated hospitals and screening clinics in the Gwangju area.
The Support Packages are boxes of support items personally prepared by President Song Jong-wook and about 40 employees to express gratitude and encouragement to medical staff working hard on the front lines to overcome COVID-19 during the upcoming Chuseok holiday. The packages include 17 types of support items such as agricultural products and red ginseng from Naju and Jangheung in Jeonnam, health supplements like vitamins, snacks, instant foods, and mask packs and hand creams to alleviate the hardships of medical staff who must continuously wear protective suits.
