Korea Rail Network Authority to Hire 173 New and Experienced Employees
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea National Railway is set to recruit 173 new and experienced employees.
According to the Railway Corporation on the 17th, the recruitment fields and numbers for the second half of the year are ▲General positions 95 ▲High school graduates 18 ▲Time-selective positions 6 ▲Technical positions 5 ▲Practical positions 31 ▲Contract positions 3 ▲Experienced positions 15.
By job category, the positions are divided into 24 in administration, 38 in civil engineering, 11 in architecture, 32 in electrical engineering, 16 in telecommunications, and 13 in mechanical engineering.
Applications will be accepted online through the Railway Corporation website from the 18th of this month to the 4th of next month. The Railway Corporation plans to announce the final successful candidates at the end of November after document screening, written tests, and interviews.
Among the recruits, 39 people (22%) will be hired as socially equitable talents, including veterans.
In particular, according to the amendment of the Special Act on the Creation and Development of Innovation Cities, the Railway Corporation plans to hire 18% of the new recruits in the second half of the year as local talents. The hiring of local talents is expected to expand to 30% of the total recruits by 2024.
