Gwangyang City Council Member Lee Hyung-sun Takes Initiative to Amend Apartment Environmental Improvement Ordinance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City Council passed with amendments the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Improvement of Residential Environment in Gwangyang City Apartment Complexes," which was primarily proposed by Councilor Lee Hyung-seon, at the 2nd plenary session of the 292nd extraordinary meeting.
The amendments expand the support projects to include maintenance and repair of gas supply facilities, and the target apartment complexes have been broadened from the original "apartment complexes with exclusive area of 85㎡ or less" to "apartment complexes built under the Housing Act and the Building Act."
A total of 218 apartment complexes in Gwangyang City will be eligible for support.
Councilor Lee stated, "With this ordinance amendment, the scope of apartment residential environment improvement projects has been expanded, which will reduce the economic burden on citizens and improve quality of life through a pleasant residential environment."

Meanwhile, Gwangyang City announced that it plans to establish separate support criteria for apartment complexes with fewer than 20 households, which are not covered under the relevant laws.
