[Special Stock] POSCO ICT Sells Self-Developed RPA on Amazon... Benefiting from Government New Deal Policy
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] POSCO ICT is showing strong performance. The news that it has started selling its self-developed RPA (Robotics Process Automation) on Amazon appears to be influencing its stock price.
At 9:15 AM on the 7th, POSCO ICT was trading at 6,780 KRW, up 9.71% from the previous day.
Hana Financial Investment explained that the RPA developed by POSCO ICT, which supplements office workers' tasks, has started selling on Amazon.com in the United States.
Park Muhyun, a researcher at Hana Financial Investment, said, "The sales target is small and medium-sized enterprises domestically and internationally," adding, "Amazon.com charges a commission of $0.058 per hour when using the RPA service."
He continued, "In robot powerhouse Japan, companies' demand for hiring office workers has already decreased by 35% compared to last year," adding, "This is a higher level than the 30% decrease in demand for production workers."
He emphasized, "In the future, companies' automation investment will focus on office workers such as RPA," and "The growth benefits for domestic RPA-related companies will increase."
Researcher Park predicted, "Stock prices of overseas robot-related companies are rising and robot investments are increasing," and "Domestic automation and robot companies will also gain growth opportunities."
