Dongshin University Human Resources Development Project Group Receives 'Highest Grade' in Performance Evaluation
Employment Rate 75%... Highest Among General University Project Groups in Jeonnam Region
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dongshin University announced on the 15th that the Health and Welfare Social Service Workforce Training Project Group received the highest grade, 'A', in the 2019 performance evaluation.
The project group, involving the Department of Social Welfare and the Department of Exercise Prescription at Dongshin University, achieved the highest employment rate of 75% among 11 project groups from general universities in the Jeonnam region, earning the top grade.
Out of 16 fourth-year students participating in the project, 12 were immediately connected to employment. Due to this achievement, the project group will receive 4.5 million won in project funds as an incentive this year.
The Dongshin University Health and Welfare Social Service Workforce Training Project Group is accelerating the training of professionals capable of performing social services that integrate exercise and welfare in the Jeonnam region, which has become the first ultra-aged society nationwide.
To this end, efforts to improve employment rates included operating employment coordinators, supporting certification acquisition, providing one-on-one customized employment counseling, and conducting special lectures by after-school advisors.
Additionally, through strengthening practical skills via field training, inviting experts for special lectures, and partnership education, the project group is cultivating customized professionals desired by companies in the health and welfare social service sector in the Jeonnam region.
