View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 15th that Superintendent Jang Seok-woong will visit social welfare facilities and fire stations across Jeonnam Province from the 15th to the 24th to deliver consolation goods ahead of Chuseok, the traditional Korean holiday.
On the 15th, he visited Jangseong Fire Station to express gratitude and encourage the firefighters who are devoted on the front lines for fire suppression, rescue, and disaster prevention.
He plans to subsequently visit Hwasun Fire Station, Naju Fire Station, Damyang Fire Station, the child care facility Samhye-won in Yeosu, the elderly nursing facility Yegwang Village in Suncheon, and the residential facility for the disabled Samgang-won in Gokseong.
This year, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, visits will be conducted with strict adherence to quarantine guidelines and minimized visit times.
In March, Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education donated 4,733,000 KRW to the Korean Red Cross to overcome COVID-19 and delivered hope boxes containing masks and vitamins to 277 vulnerable students in the province.
In addition, in July, they voluntarily donated over 1,200 items to the Beautiful Store Mokpo Original Downtown Branch and donated 5,825,000 KRW to the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea for flood damage recovery, practicing love-sharing throughout the year.
