At 10 a.m. that day, Chairman Kim Han-jong received reports from the staff of the Secretariat of the National Council of Chairpersons of Provincial Councils on the progress of initiatives such as the development of local autonomy, decentralization, and the discovery of local council policies, and encouraged the staff for their hard work in advancing local councils.
Following this, Chairman Kim Han-jong visited the National Assembly and met with Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, Seo Young-kyo, Chairperson of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, Han Byung-do, floor leader, and Lee Gae-ho, Chairperson of the Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee, requesting that “the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act be passed in the National Assembly within this year.”

Chairman Kim Han-jong stated, “The greatest task for the National Council of Chairpersons of Provincial Councils is the passage of the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act and the realization of decentralization. Future major activities will focus on the passage of the law and the realization of decentralization,” and added, “Together with the chairpersons of provincial councils nationwide, we will do our best to ensure that local governments and metropolitan councils can advance to the next level.”
