Cadillac Launches CT4 and CT5 in Korea... Prices Starting from 49.35 Million Won
Performance Sedan CT4 and Luxury Sedan CT5 Customer Delivery Begins
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Cadillac officially launched the performance sedan CT4 and luxury sedan CT5, inheriting the DNA of Cadillac V, its high-performance line, in Korea on the 15th. Through the CT4 and CT5, Cadillac plans to strengthen its younger brand image while continuing its growth momentum.
The rear-wheel-drive (RWD) platform applied to the CT4 features a long dash and a wide distance between the axles, expressing confidence in its fastback design and performance. The black side rocker molding connects the front and cleanly tapered rear with another straight line, adding proportional stability.
The CT4 is equipped with a 2.0ℓ twin-scroll turbo engine delivering a maximum output of 240 horsepower and a peak torque of 35.7 kg·m, controlled agilely through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Performance options include Magnetic Ride Control, which scans the road surface in 1/1000-second intervals to adjust damping force for optimized high-speed stability; Brembo brakes, boasting excellent braking power with optimized feedback at every moment; and run-flat tires that enhance stability in emergencies.
The core of the newly revamped interior design is the 8-inch CUE infotainment display and a center fascia with improved button operability, key elements of CT4 connectivity. The CUE infotainment system enhances mobile connectivity through NFC pairing located at the bottom of the display, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Additionally, a Bose premium surround audio system with 14 speakers is applied.
The CT5 features a crest-shaped sports mesh grille at the front, elegantly refined vertical daytime running lights, and a dual-pane sunroof. The CT5 is the first Cadillac model to apply General Motors' global B electric architecture, which offers enhanced security and responsiveness, improving compatibility with the next-generation CUE infotainment system and various digital devices.
In particular, the newly designed 10-inch CUE infotainment display protruding from the dashboard and the center fascia with an increased ratio of physical buttons enhance operational intuitiveness.
The CT5 is equipped with a 2.0ℓ twin-scroll turbo engine featuring three world-first technologies, delivering a maximum output of 240 horsepower and a peak torque of 35.7 kg·m. The engine includes twin-scroll technology that reduces turbo lag and produces maximum torque even at low RPM (1500rpm), along with a 3-step sliding camshaft and active thermal management design, achieving improved efficiency and optimization. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, providing powerful yet smooth driving performance.
