According to Sangju City, Gyeongbuk, on the 15th, a carefully wrapped gift was delivered to the Ian-myeon Administrative Welfare Center the previous afternoon. Inside the gift box was a letter from a professor at a university in Gyeonggi-do who introduced himself as sending a small gift on behalf of a civil petitioner, moved by the story of Officer Park's kind handling of a civil complaint.
Officer Park's good deed began with a phone call in mid-August. Mr. Lee, in his 60s, living in Anyang City, Gyeonggi-do, asked about the relocation of ancestral graves in Seonsan, his hometown Ian-myeon, over the phone. He wanted to learn the procedure for gathering scattered graves into one place.
Officer Park explained the relocation procedure and the necessary documents one by one, advising him to take notes. Mr. Lee, having prepared the documents, visited the Ian-myeon Administrative Welfare Center on the 24th of the same month. However, a problem arose. He had failed to take on-site photos and could not properly submit the documents. Officer Park, seeing Mr. Lee worried, gave him her email address and said, "If you take photos and send them by email, I will process it." Thanks to this, Mr. Lee was able to complete the procedure safely. He sent the photos by email and expressed his gratitude, writing, "Thank you for kindly helping me."
Officer Park's kindness led to another heartwarming story. A friend of Mr. Lee, Professor Kim, who heard the story, sent a letter to Officer Park. Professor Kim, whose hometown is Mungyeong, Gyeongbuk, wrote in the letter, "I was deeply moved by Officer Park's consideration, who explained more kindly and thoroughly than any service company employee."
He also added, "I sincerely thank the head of the myeon office for creating such a beautiful angel." The gift sent by Professor Kim was a souvenir made by the university where he is employed, a set of spoons and chopsticks.
