View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Since mid-last month, social distancing level 2 has been in effect due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases originating from the Seoul metropolitan area.
With strengthened quarantine measures, the number of confirmed cases has stabilized and entered a declining phase in the 100s, indicating that the proactive and swift response of the local community has been effective.
The Jung-gu Council of Seoul (Chairman Jo Young-hoon) visited the COVID-19 Emergency Response Team located on the 5th floor of the Jung-gu Public Health Center on the 11th. As the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic enters its eighth month, work fatigue among related departments has also accumulated. The council members expressed their gratitude by delivering snacks such as bread and fruit to the staff who are quietly doing their best on the front lines. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, only a minimal number of people, including the Jung-gu council members, attended the visit.
