Haenam-gun Promotes Village-Level LPG Small Storage Tank Supply Project
Construction in Galdumaeul, Bukil-myeon Expected to Complete by the End of This Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 14th that it is accelerating the installation work of a small LPG storage tank and piping to supply LPG to Galdumaeul, Bukil-myeon.
This project involves installing small LPG storage tanks and building a piping network to supply LP gas to each household in rural areas where city gas supply is difficult.
Residents who have been using existing LPG cylinders and oil boilers will benefit from significant fuel cost savings. Additionally, by replacing existing rubber hoses and old pipes with metal pipes, LP gas can be used as safely and conveniently as city gas, which has received positive responses.
A total project cost of 565 million KRW (including 90 million KRW from provincial funds and 10% self-payment) will be invested, with construction planned to be completed by December this year. Through this project, 51 households in Galdumaeul, Bukil-myeon are expected to benefit.
