Yeonggwang Areumdabgeurinbae Farming Association Wins 'Grand Prize' for Jeonnam's Top Young Farmer
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seong-jeong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 14th that Areumdapgeureunbae Agricultural Cooperative Corporation (CEO Kim Young-soon) won the grand prize in the recent 'Jeonnam-do Outstanding Young Farmer' selection.
This project, which selects young farmers who have become successful models centered on technology agriculture by utilizing creative ideas and new agricultural technologies, provides up to 45 million KRW in project funds.
The selection of awardees involved a first round of document screening evaluating the utilization of local resources, education, technology, patents, and other competencies and expertise, followed by a second round of on-site evaluation of successful models applying new technologies.
CEO Kim Young-soon is leading the sixth industrialization of agriculture by producing, processing, and distributing not only pear juice but also cabbage juice and vegetable juice through creative ideas.
Also, as the first in the county to be selected as a New Knowledge Farmer by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in 2018, Kim is a young farmer who is injecting youthful vitality into the aging rural community.
