Jeju-do Installs Transparent Barriers in Civil Service Offices
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Chang-won] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 14th that it has installed 'transparent partitions' at the civil service counters and resident consultation rooms in the provincial government office to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The civil service counters handle tasks such as receiving civil documents and issuing passports, which involve frequent contact between the responsible public officials and numerous unspecified civil petitioners, making COVID-19 infection prevention measures necessary.
The transparent partitions were designed to minimize inconvenience to civil petitioners, with a space at the bottom to pass documents, ensuring that civil service work is not hindered.
In addition to installing transparent partitions, Jeju Province is thoroughly implementing COVID-19 infection prevention measures by equipping the civil service office with thermal cameras and hand sanitizers.
