This was the first offline materials, parts, and equipment event held locally since COVID-19.
KOTRA is striving to secure supply opportunities for Korean companies in preparation for China's new infrastructure investment plans and the demand for new technologies from local governments. The consultation meeting was organized together with the Korea Display Industry Association, the Korean Embassy in China, and the Anhui Provincial Government of China.
In China, 38 global companies in the display, robotics, and automotive parts sectors, including BOE and Visionox, participated on-site. There were 31 Korean participating companies, and companies that have entered the Chinese market conducted consultations directly on-site. Domestic materials companies were represented by KOTRA staff who conducted proxy consultations.
Anhui Province is a place where advanced industry value chains such as display and automotive parts are densely formed even within China. Since 2018, the World Manufacturing Convention has been held annually in Hefei, the provincial capital. Korea will be the guest of honor next year, and Ambassador Jang Ha-sung attended the 3rd convention held on the 11th.
