Samsung Corning Advanced Glass Sells Gumi Plant to Chinese Company
Samsung Display and US Corning Joint Venture
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Samsung Corning Advanced Glass, a subsidiary of Samsung Display, has sold its Gumi plant in Gyeongbuk to a Chinese company.
According to industry sources on the 12th, Samsung Corning Advanced Glass's Gumi plant announced through an internal notice that the company has been sold to a Chinese firm. Samsung Corning Advanced Glass is a joint venture established in 2012 with Samsung Display and the American company Corning each investing 50%.
The Gumi plant being sold produces transparent electrode materials used in display liquid crystals.
