Korea Maritime University Holds '12th Ocean Academy Entrance Ceremony'

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Korea Maritime and Ocean University announced on the 11th that it held the ‘12th Ocean Academy Entrance Ceremony’ at the Komodo Hotel in Jung-gu.
The Korea Maritime and Ocean University Ocean Academy is a ‘Visiting Technology Management Academy’ where training is conducted at locations close to workplaces for the convenience of trainees. Hosted by the Busan Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation and organized by the Korea Maritime and Ocean University LINC+ Project Group, it is held every Wednesday from 6 PM to 10 PM until November.
Also, the Advanced Technology Management Program (ATMP), established in 2009, was designed to enhance the global level of CEOs and executives of companies and institutions related to the shipbuilding and marine equipment sector and the marine industry. This year, 30 people enrolled, including CEO Oh Hyeong-seok of Haemin Heavy Industries.
The 12th Ocean Academy plans to operate its program under the main theme of ‘Post-COVID Corporate Response Strategies Based on the 4th Industrial Revolution and Eco-friendliness.’
It will cover recent trends such as smart autonomous ship development projects, eco-friendly LNG fuel propulsion ships, LNG bunkering systems, post-COVID corporate response strategies, and 5G-related fields. The program will also facilitate mutual exchange of key products and technical challenges of participating Ocean Academy companies and discuss global market entry.
Hong Seong-hwa, Director of the Korea Maritime and Ocean University Ocean Academy, said, “The program is designed to help companies overcome crises and find new breakthroughs amid the difficulties caused by COVID-19.”
