Incheon City Introduces COVID-19 Quarantine Violation Reporting Reward System... Unauthorized Self-Quarantine Departure, etc.
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City is operating a reward system for reports to eliminate blind spots in COVID-19 quarantine measures.
Incheon City announced on the 11th that from July to November 30 this year, it plans to select and reward outstanding citizens who contributed to preventing the spread of COVID-19. This expands the scope of the existing 'Safety Report Reward System' to include COVID-19 related reports.
The targets for reporting include businesses or gatherings violating assembly ban orders, unauthorized departure of self-quarantined individuals, occurrences of the 3Cs (Closed spaces, Crowded places, Close-contact settings), violations of visitor management, not wearing masks, and other reports or suggestions for infection prevention.
Reports can be submitted through the 'Safety Report' website (www.safetyreport.go.kr) or the Safety Report smartphone app.
The city plans to select a total of 40 people from general safety reporters and COVID-19 reporters and provide traditional market gift certificates worth between 100,000 and 200,000 KRW each in December this year.
Earlier, the city selected and rewarded a total of 40 people, including 15 outstanding reporters and 25 frequent reporters, from 63,712 safety reports submitted in the first half of the year.
