Gimcheon-si Imposes 13.4 Billion KRW in September Regular Property Tax... Targeting Land and Housing Owners
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Kim Chung-seop) announced on the 11th that it has imposed and notified 13.4 billion KRW in regular property tax for September 2020.
The property tax imposed in September applies to all land except for residential accessory land and the second installment of housing tax. The land portion covers 72,033 cases amounting to 11.899 billion KRW, and the housing portion covers 7,002 cases amounting to 1.59 billion KRW.

For the housing portion of the property tax, amounts under 200,000 KRW are charged in full in July, while amounts over 200,000 KRW are charged equally in July and again in September. The payment period for the property tax has been extended due to the Chuseok holiday from the 16th to October 5th. A 3% surcharge will be added if the payment period is exceeded.
