Gwangju Metropolitan Council, Closing of the 292nd Extraordinary Session
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim Yong-jip) announced on the 10th that it held the 2nd plenary session of the 292nd extraordinary meeting and concluded the 9-day session.
During this extraordinary meeting, the council reviewed the 2nd supplementary budget for 2020 proposed by the City Office of Education, and handled a total of 65 agenda items, including 36 ordinances, 13 consents, 3 resolutions, 5 approvals, 4 opinion hearings, and 3 reports.
Additionally, during this session, it was decided to conduct the administrative audit for this year from November 3 to 16 during the 2nd regular meeting of the 294th session, and approved the administrative audit plans and document submission request lists submitted by the five standing committees.
Chairman Kim Yong-jip said, “I sincerely thank the public officials and fellow council members who diligently participated in the extraordinary meeting despite the severe disaster situation directly affecting citizens' lives and safety, including the COVID-19 regional infection crisis and two typhoons,” and added, “I urge the executive branch to thoroughly review the pointed issues and proposed alternatives during this session and promptly correct and supplement them.”
