Earlier in June, through collaboration, the National Police Agency and KOTRA exported Korean-made forensic investigation equipment such as fingerprint powder and brushes to the Abu Dhabi Police Department in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which served as a starting point to explore concrete cooperation plans.
Through this agreement, the National Police Agency and KOTRA will seek new channels for exporting excellent domestic public safety equipment and jointly conduct education to prevent crimes such as trade fraud and industrial technology leakage targeting Korean companies. In particular, they agreed to mutually support the 'Public Safety Industry Expo' hosted by the National Police Agency and the 'Korea Defense and Security Export Week' organized by KOTRA.
Additionally, the National Police Agency plans to carry out publicity and education to prevent crime damages to Korean companies, including trade fraud, industrial technology leakage, and intellectual property rights infringement.
Kim Chang-ryong, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, said, "This signifies our police's commitment to actively develop the mission of 'public safety' in line with the new era spirit in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era," adding, "The export of public safety equipment is not merely an economic achievement but an opportunity to spread our police system overseas and strengthen cooperation between police agencies, thereby protecting our citizens and companies more safely."

Kwon Pyung-oh, President of KOTRA, said, "I believe this will serve as a foundation to elevate our country's status beyond public safety exports," and added, "Through trade fraud prevention projects jointly promoted by the two organizations, our trade workers will be able to focus on expanding economic territories with peace of mind, which will be a milestone for establishing a proper international trade order."
