Gwangju Urban Corporation Appoints Kim Young-chang as Managing Director and Bae Yoon-sik as Business Director
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City Urban Corporation announced on the 7th that Kim Young-chang and Bae Yoon-sik have been nominated as candidates for Managing Director and Business Director, respectively.
Kim Young-chang, the nominee for Managing Director, previously served as a reporter for Jeonnam Ilbo, head of the Jeonnam Provincial Government General Civil Service Office, head of management and tourism at Jeonnam Development Corporation, and CEO of Korea Auto Valley Operations.
Bae Yoon-sik, the nominee for Business Director, has held positions such as manager of the Gwangju City General Construction Headquarters, director of the Green City Project Office, and manager of the Architecture and Housing Department.
They were each finally nominated as candidates for Managing Director and Business Director after an interview screening by the Executive Recommendation Committee on the 4th. The term of office is three years.
The two nominees will be officially appointed if no issues arise during the background check.

Meanwhile, the corporation also recommended two candidates for the appointed non-standing auditor position to Gwangju City. The mayor, who holds the final appointment authority, will appoint one of them.
